Digital Language Learning (DLL): Insights from Behavior, Cognition, and the Brain

Abstract How can we leverage digital technologies to enhance language learning and bilingual representation? In this era, our theories practices for the teaching of second languages (L2) have lagged behind pace scientific advances technological innovations. Here outline approach (DLL) L2 acquisition representation, provide a theoretical synthesis analytical framework regarding DLL's current future promises. Theoretically, DLL provides forum understanding differences between child adult learning, effects context learner characteristics. Practically, findings from behaviors, cognitive affective processing, brain correlates inform DLL-based pedagogies. Because its highly interdisciplinary nature, serve as an integrate cognitive, social, affective, neural dimensions with new emerging including VR, AI, big data analytics.
